Well, it's been an awfully long time since I last posted something on my blog... several years, in fact!

Since creating my "100 Days of Xinyi" posts (http://www.sixharmonyconsulting.com/p/100-days.html), I completed the goals I set out for myself as that project wound up and I had put my attempts to get a formal Xinyiliuhequan group going in Victoria on indefinite hold.

I certainly have kept training my Xinyi and trying to stay fit. More importantly I have also:

-Started a family (I now have a 4-year-old son and a 10-month-old son)

-Completed (November 2018) a MSc in Public Health (With Distinction) with a specialization in Health Services Management - while working and starting a family!

-Missed training with students and training partners in-person, though!

So, if anyone out in the Greater Victoria Area would like to offer up a space for training (e.g. at a fitness center, a martial arts club, etc.), please give me a shout. I'd love to teach a simple, small, regular class again - like I did out of a Karate dojo in Winnipeg for a little over 5 years (1998-2003).

On an unrelated note, I listened to some marvelous guqin music while training at home on my own tonight. Sometimes I train in silence, sometimes to music.

If anyone out there is interested in learning about Classical Chinese Music, please allow me to recommend the following lecture and performances presented by UC Davis Music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq-zpXAiyKQ

Certainly worth checking out.

All good things to all,

Sean
